Liturgical Ministries
Lectors
Proclaim the Word of God during Mass.
Extraordinary Ministers
Assist with the reverent distribution of Holy Communion.
Altar Servers
Assist the priest and deacon during the celebration of Mass.
Ushers & Hospitality
Welcome parishioners and visitors and assist with the needs of the congregation.
Sacristans
Help prepare the church and sacred items needed for the celebration of the liturgy.
Altar Society
Mission Statement
The Altar Society is a ministry providing care needed for the altar and sanctuary to be prepared for mass. Working in groups of two or more, each group covers one Sunday a month. We arrange flowers, prepare the linen, fill holy water fonts, remove wax from candleholders, and care for plants.
We supply altar linen altar wine and hosts. Our meetings are monthly on the second Wednesday of the month at 9:30 a.m.
in the Kelly Room September through May. You are invited to come and see for yourself what we do.

Italian Catholic Federation
The Italian Catholic Federation (ICF) is a non-profit organization that supports our Parish. Through families and fellowship, the ICF promotes and supports the Catholic faith and its values, encourages apostolic and charitable works, and celebrates our Italian American heritage and the heritages of our communities.

Knights of Columbus
Our Mission Statement:
According to the Knights of Columbus, the organization’s mission is to empower
Catholic men to live their faith through service. Founded by Blessed Michael McGivney in 1882, the Knights of Columbus is the premier lay Catholic men’s organization. Guided by the principles of charity, unity and fraternity, we build lifelong relationships with our
members and families. We are multigenerational and international. We offer formation, mutual aid and financial security to members through our charity, products and outreach. We aspire to invite every Catholic man to join the Knights of Columbus and to extend our charitable reach as widely as possible.
Local councils and the global organization implement this mission through:

Service to the Church – supporting parishes with manpower, resources, and special projects.

Community service – food drives, “Blue Masses” for first responders, and charitable fundraising.

Family and fellowship – social events, leadership development, and networking.

In essence, The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal organization that empowers Catholic men to live their faith and serve their family, parish, community, and country through charity that finds Christ in others, unity that builds the body of Christ, fraternity that fosters Christ-centered brotherhood, and patriotism that makes responsible citizens rooted in Catholic principles and expressed through tangible acts of charity and solidarity.

Councils
Pastoral Council
The Pastoral Council works with the pastor to prayerfully discern the needs of the parish and support its pastoral mission. Members offer guidance and perspective as St. Mary’s seeks to grow as a community centered on Christ and committed to living the Gospel.
Finance Council
The Finance Council assists the pastor in the responsible stewardship of the parish’s financial resources. Through planning, oversight, and consultation, the council helps ensure that our resources support the mission and needs of St. Mary’s.
Volunteer
You don't need to belong to a particular ministry to make a difference at St. Mary’s.
Throughout the year, volunteers help with parish events, hospitality, service projects, church activities, special celebrations, and many other needs.
